| Pretty Paws Care Tip - Watch your dog's paws in the snow. Get the hair on your dog's paws trimmed regularly. Long hair in between your dog's toes and pads can become matted and cause discomfort to them. In winter, ice can form quickly and can irritate and even cut the skin between the toes and pads. If you have the hair trimmed from the pads of their feet there will be less chance of this happening. Do no expose your dog to the outside elements for prolonged periods of time. You can help protect their pads from the cold weather with either a paw rub or boots. Both of these items will help prevent cracking too. |
